Digital Portfolios

Aims and objectives:

• clarify the purpose and possible content of a digital portfolio
  
• introduce Nvu  or KompoZer a free web page editor
  
• reinforce the importance of saving backups
  
• explain the meaning of WYSIWYG
  
• introduce HTML code view
  
  

At the completion of this lesson students should be able to:

• download and install Nvu or KompoZer
  
• access the Atomic Learning Nvu tutorials
• download a template from zeroweb.com (Please note that some of these
  templates have been giving students hassles with IE 7 and some don't work
  well with Dreamweaver. Next year if I run this session I will be looking for
  another set of more reliable templates.)
• edit the template menu
• create a new web page
• add it to the menu
• insert an image into a web page
