Without knowing your exact the error message is I can only give you some general things to try.

If you are getting a Session Already Running error, there are several things that you can do to stop the error from reappearing. I will provide step-by-step instructions below:
The first thing to do is to Run a Browser Check Please make sure that you address any errors that are reported by the browser check.
You should see something simillar to the following if everyting is correct:

Also it's not a bad idea to test your java. If you have Java issues please install Java version 6 Update 18
When you test your java you should see a message simillar to the following:

Please also make sure that you allow pop-up windows. Make sure that your browser is set to allow pop-up windows from http://blackboard.acu.edu.au
Please Clear your browser cache and enable cookies
Next try the following on cookies in the browser & security software. Some examples below
(varies for different internet browsers):
If you are using Internet Explorer
1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options
2. Select the Privacy tab
3. To enable Cookies:
* If using a default setting, move the slider to
select any of the following privacy settings:
o Medium High
o Medium
o Low
o Accept all cookies
* If using a custom setting:
o Click the Advanced button
o Select Override automatic cookie handling
o Select Always allow session cookies
o Click OK to return to the Privacy Tab
4. Click Apply then OK
If you use Firefox
1. From the Tools menu, select Options
2. In the left-hand pane, click Privacy
3. In the Cookies section, make sure ‘Allow sites to set
cookies’ is checked
4. Click OK
If you use Safari
1. From the Safari menu, click Preferences.
2. From the Security dialog box, from Accept Cookies,
click to select Always.
3. Click Close.
Next Ensure the computer time is set correctly.
1. From the Start Menu, select Control Panel
2. Open Date and Time
If using XP:
1. From the time zone tab, ensure correct time zone is
set. If not, adjust and click apply.
2. From the from Date and Time tab, ensure the correct
date & time is set. If not, adjust and click apply.
If using Vista:
1. Ensure correct time zone is set. If not, click Change
time zone...
2. Select the correct time zone, and click apply.
3. Ensure the correct date & time is set. If not, adjust
and click apply.
Once you have made changes please close the internet browser and re-open it.
Please ensure when accessing the blackboard login page you
type in the web address (http://blackboard.acu.edu.au) and please do not
use the bookmark/favourite of the login page.
Also avoid using the Back,
Forward navigation buttons in your Internet Browser as Blackboard does
not support using the broswer back button. If you want to get into another area in Blackboard,
rather than use the back and forward buttons, we recommend clicking on
the menu links on the left hand side.

The problems with the log in and the session is already running can be
caused by the cookies stored in your browser.
To clear you cookies in Internet Explorer:
-Click on the Tools Menu and then Internet Options
-Just below where it says Browsing History click on the Delete... button
-Ensure Cookies and History is ticked and then click on the Delete button
-Click on OK
To clear you cookies in Firefox:
-Click on the Tools Menu and then Clear Recent History
-Change Time Range to Clear to Everthing
-Click Clear Now
The ‘unable to locate the page you requested’ is usually caused by
blocking Pop-Ups.
To Stop blocking pop-ups in Internet Explorer:
-Click on the Tools Menu, Pop-up Blocker and then Turn Off Pop-Up Blocker
To Stop blocking pop-ups in Firefox:
-Click on the Tools Menu then Options
-Click on the Content Tab
-Untick Block Pop-Ups
-Click OK
Other things to try:
Add Blackboard as a trusted site when running IE8 & Windows 7
Check and remove any multiple versions of Java turn off Java updates
Try an alternate browser such as Firefox.
Disable Google Toolbar
through 'Manage Addons'
Turn on Compatibility in IE 8
Don't use Google Chrome it's not Blackboard Compatiable
To download Mozilla Firefox (an alternate Internet browser to Internet
Explorer), you will need to visit the website:
http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.6.3&os=win&lang=en-US
This will give you the option to Run, Save or Cancel. Please click, 'Run'.
This will download and install Mozilla Firefox for you. If it asks 'So
You want to run this software, press 'Run' again.
Click 'Next' when you see the Welcome message.
Click 'Standard' on the Setup Type step.
Follow the prompts and install Mozilla Firefox.
Once installed, access https://blackboard.acu.edu.au/ and try to log in again.
See if this resolved the 'Session Already Running' error.
