Some Business Writing Basics
Back in the 1950s some writers developed a way to measure how easy it is to
understand a piece of writing. They found that two key factors affected readability
"scores": sentence length and the length of words. They also found
that most people (and this includes really smart people like you and me!) have
an eighth grade reading level. That doesn't mean that's when we stopped learning;
it is when we stopped improving our reading skills.
Think about that every time you sit down to write.
